Does PARAS Education Services work in Pakistan or other countries too?

Currently, we are working only in Pakistan. But we have Goodwill Ambassadors in Europe, USA, Middle East, Africa and Australia.

What is the scenario of Out of School Children in , presently?

Pakistan has about 22 million children who are out of school in Pakistan> Out of them, 14 million children working as labors. Only 60% of children have access to education despite having a national policy on compulsory elementary education. The time to take collective as well as individual responsibility to remedy the current situation is here. Right now!

Why do you stress on education, when there are other equally pressing issues in the country?

Education alone has the power to liberate people from the vicious cycle of poverty - not only in terms of earning a livelihood but also in becoming aware of the rights and freedoms that a citizen is endowed with. Thus empowering individuals and making them self-sufficient.

What is the source of funding for the organization?

We do not have any regular source of revenue. Around 70-80% funding support of the organization comes from individual donors from Pakistan and some other countries for individual cases of children education and youth empowerment. Rest of the funding comes from small communities and organizations with whom we work as implementors.

How does PARAS Education Services choose the projects / grassroots NGOs to work with?

PARAS Education Services looks for emerging and committed grassroots organizations for reaching out to underprivileged communities. We partner with people and organizations that want to make a difference but do not have adequate knowledge and capacity to raise resources or work in a professional manner.

Who all are the target beneficiaries?

Children, their families, govt schools. Youth in rural areas and the communities are the target groups of PARAS Education Services. Children are at the centre stage.

PARAS Education Services works for the education of underprivileged children through individual sponsorships, opening tent schools, providing books as well bags, free of cost home tutoring and creating awareness among parents about importance of education.

How many students are benefitted through Various Initiatives of PARAS Education Services?

More than 100,000 children have benefited directly from various missions and initiatives programme since 2017. At present, the 2 programs are being run on Farmer’s Daughter Education in rural areas of Punjab, Pakistan.

How many youths have benefitted through this programme?

More than 10, 000 youth have been trained and exposed towards personal development., career counseling and life coaching across Pakistan.

How does PARAS Education Services work in the area of women empowerment?

PARAS Education Services works for the girl children and women through its national initiative on Farmers’ daughter education program in collaboration with German Organization Echo Green Living.


FAQs for Individual Donors

What information is sent to the donors?

The donor gets an instant acknowledgement mail along with an SMS. On receiving the reconciliation statement from the bank, a receipt is sent via e-mail immediately, followed by a hard copy by post . The receipt is accompanied by a 'welcome pack' which is also a token of appreciation. The donor receives a birthday wish, wishes on important festivals, programme updates and an annual impact report during a year's time.

What will PARAS Education Services do with my donation?

As soon as the donation through cheque or online is reconciled by the bank, the amount is allotted to the specific programme, which it has been meant for. The utilization and results are managed, monitored and audited. The outcome is reflected in the annual impact report, which is shared with the donors.

How does PARAS Education Services ensure that the donor's contribution is being utilized in the intended way?

PARAS Education Services follows the principle of good governance. We have a four-tier audit mechanism to track and monitor the funds raised and utilized.

Does PARAS Education Services accept donations in USD or Pounds?

Yes, the organization accepts donations in USD and pounds as well but only in the form of cheque, drafts or via online payment gateway. As a policy the organization adhere to all government norms and maintains optimum transparency with the donors. The organization does have an IBAN account for its international supporters. However, tax exemptions are applicable as per the country specific guidelines.

How much should I donate? (we can give break up of monthly expenditure of a child)

There is no specific amount that should be donated. However, all the programmes have a detailed breakup of the expenditure displayed online.

Can one donate in kind (old clothes, books, stationary)?

Yes, we welcome such support usually we have requirements from all over the Pakistan.

Is it possible for a consistent supporter to meet the beneficiary personally?

While you can visit the school where the children you support are studying, we encourage donors to directly meet the beneficiaries as we want to give special treatment to our child.
